LAND ACQUISITION FOR BILASPUR-MANDI-LEH RAIL ROUTE
3596. SHRI RAM SWAROOP SHARMA:
Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the work of land acquisition for Bilaspur-Mandi-Leh rail route in Himachal Pradesh has been completed;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the time by which the work of laying railway track on this route is likely to be started; and
(c) if not, the reasons for delay in this regard ?
ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI RAJEN GOHAIN)
(a) to (c) Final Location Survey (FLS) of Bilaspur-Mandi-Leh new BG Line has been undertaken and is targeted to be completed by December, 2020. Land acquisition can be taken up only after sanction of project. Project is not yet sanctioned.
