Extension of one pair of Chennai Beach – Tambaram EMU services upto Chengalpattu

In order to clear extra rush of traffic in Tambaram – Chengalpattu section and acceding to the demand of passengers for additional services in the section, a pair of Chennai Beach – Tambaram EMU services will be extended to run upto Chengalpattu and back during the weekdays from Monday to Saturday. This extension of EMU services will come into effect from 25th September 2023 (Monday).

Details of the extension of EMU services is given below:

Train No. 40101 is renumbered as Train No.40571 and extended to run from Tambaram to Chengalpattu.

Train No.40571 Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu EMU will depart from Chennai Beach at 18.14 hrs and reach Chengalpattu at 20.00 hrs.

Train No. 40144 is renumbered as Train No.40572 and will originate from Chengalpattu.

Train No. 40572 Chengalpattu – Chennai Beach EMU will depart from Chengalpattu at 22.40 hrs and reach Chennai Beach at 20.45 hrs.
