ANSWER
MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI RAJEN GOHAIN)
(a) & (b) No, Sir. Presently, Railways is not planning to set up Inland Container Depot at Amritsar. However, Amritsar is being planned to continue as coaching terminal. Besides being a populated city area, frequent truck movement is also not possible. Adjacent to Amritsar station, ‘Khasa’ station is being planned to be developed as a Freight Terminal and work for the same has also been sanctioned.
(c) Does not arise.
