Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to satate :-
(a) the target date for commissioning of Jaleswar-Digha new broad-gauge rail line, as the project was sanctioned in the year 2010-11 and land acquisition process and filling have not started by South Eastern Railway citing non-cooperation from Government of West Bengal; and
(b) the present status of this important project?

(a)&(b): Jaleswar-Digha (41 Km) new Broad Gauge line project was sanctioned in 2010-11 at a cost of Rs.352.65 crore with an ROR of (-)5.04%. The progress of the project has been held up due to non-availability of land as Government of West Bengal has not acquired and handed over the land required for the project.
