Application & Admission Process

When does the application process start?
Registrations are now open

When is the last date to apply?
The last date to register in June 30, 2018

What is the eligibility criteria?
BSc in Transportation Technology is open to Science Stream Students (with mandatory Class XII Mathematics)
BBA in Transportation Management is open students from all Streams (with mandatory Class XII Mathematics)

Applicants must have successfully completed their 10+2 Board examination with at least 55% marks (50% for OBC/SC/ST) and be below the age of 25 years as on August 1, 2018

How does one apply for the programme?
1. Register online at www.nrti.in

2. Registered students will be shortlisted (based on Class XII board results) to take an NRTI Admission Aptitude Test. Shortlisted students will be contacted and made to apply online to select a test centre location, and upload relevant documents (Class XII Marksheets, photograph, etc.) and pay an application fee. The test will be administered in July 2018 at specified test centres located across the country. Test date and locations will be shared shortly.

3. Final list of candidates will be selected based on NRTI Admission Aptitude Test result ranking.

I have appeared for AIEEE / JEE / MAT / GMAT / Other national level tests. Am I eligible for admission based on that score?
No. All candidates must take an NRTI Admission Aptitude Test.

Is there a separate admission process for sponsored candidates?
No. All applicants must appear for the NRTI Admission Aptitude Test apart from meeting the eligibility criteria. Kindly check our website for updates.

What is going to be the cut-off for NRTI Aptitude Test?
The cut-off will be decided after the NRTI Aptitude Test is administered.

Is there any relaxation of admission criteria for candidates with work experience?
No.

Is there any age criteria for admission?
The applicant must be below 25 years of age as on August 1, 2018

Do I need certain grades or marks to be considered for admission?
Minimum 55% marks in 10+2 board examination (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories)

Are my chances of admission enhanced if I know somebody in NRTI or Indian Railways?
No

When can I expect to get final admission offer?
Admission offers will be communicated in July 2018.

Are you offering scholarships?
NRTI will offer up to 100% scholarship (need-blind admission) in its launch year 2018-19.

What is the general calendar for admission process?
June 30, 2018: Last date to register
July 2018: NRTI Aptitude Test (Date and test centres to be notified)
August 2018: Classes begin

When and where will the NRTI Aptitude test be held?

Student Life On Campus

Are there hostel facilities at NRTI? Are they separate for boys and girls?
The programmes being offered at NRTI are fully residential. There are separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls.

What facilities are provided in the hostels?
Personal Entities: Bed, Mattress, Study Table set
Common Facilities: Well designed, air-conditioned rooms with attached toilet on twin sharing basis, Free Wi-fi, Cafeteria, Recreational room with indoor gaming facility etc.

What are the facilities provided on campus in terms of services to the students?
Sports facilities (Badminton, Squash, Tennis, Gym, Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming Pool)
Fully equipped library
Free wi-fi
Cafeteria

What is your policy for prevention of ragging on campus?
NRTI has a strict no tolerance policy for ragging in any form, both inside and outside university premises.
