Two special trains between Mumbai and Nagappattinam for Vailankanni Festival
Central Railway has decided to run 2 special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Nagappattinam to clear the extra rush of passengers due to Vailankanni Festival. The details of services are as under:
Train No. 01161 special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 13.15 hrs on 26.8.2022 and will arrive Nagappattinam at 17.40 hrs next day.
Train No. 01162 special will leave Nagappattinam at 06.50 hrs on 28.8.2022 and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 15.05 hrs next day.
Train No. 01163 special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 13.15 hrs on 06.9.2022 and will arrive Nagappattinam at 17.40 hrs next day.
Train No. 01164 special will leave Nagappattinam at 15.20 hrs on 08.9.2022 and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 20.30 hrs next day.
Halts for both trains: Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Guntakal, Kadapa, Renigunta, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Tirupadaripulliyur, Chidambaram, Mayiladuthurai and Tiruvarur.
Composition for both trains: One First AC, One First AC cum AC-2 Tier, Two AC-2 Tier, Two AC-3 Tier, 12 Sleeper class and 4 General second class including 2 guard’s brake vans.
Reservation: Bookings for the special trains no. 01161 & 01163 on special charges will open from 20.7.2022 at all computerised reservations centres and on website www.irctc.co.in

Extension of Special trains to Velankanni
The Nagapattinam – Velankanni section is opened for the traffic from 29th July, 2022. The Special trains presently operated upto Nagapattinam Junction are extended to Velankanni as detailed below.

Velankanni Special Trains between Valsad – Nagappattinam
In order to clear extra rush of pilgrims on the eve of Velankanni Festival – 2022 two special trains will be run as detailed below:

These Special Trains will stop at Vapi, Vasai Rd, Panvel, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Raichur, Guntakal, Kadapa, Renigunta, Katpadi, Vellore Cantt., Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Tiruppadinppullyur, Chidambaram, Mayiladuthurai and Tiruvarur stations in both the directions.
These Special trains will consist of 1AC, 2AC, 3AC, Sleeper and General Second Class Coaches.
