WESTERN RAILWAY TO RUN SPECIAL TRAIN FOR VELANKANNI FESTIVAL FROM BANDRA TERMINUS (VIA VASAI ROAD)

For the convenience of passengers & to clear the extra rush on the eve of Velankanni festival 2023, a special train will run between Bandra Terminus and Velankanni.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details are as under:-

Train No. 09041 / 09042 Bandra Terminus – Velankanni Special [2 TRIPS]

Train No. 09041 Bandra Terminus – Velankanni Special will depart from Bandra Terminus on Sunday, 27th August 2023 at 21.20 hrs. & will reach Velankanni at 08.30 hrs, on Tuesday. Similarly, Train No. 09042 Velankanni – Bandra Terminus Special will depart from Velankanni on Wednesday, 30th August 2023 at 00.30 hrs. & will arrive Bandra Terminus at 13.40 hrs. the next day.

Enroute this train will halt at Borivali, Vasai Road, Panvel, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Wadi, Raichur, Guntakal, Cuddapah, Renigunta, Katpadi, Vellore Cantt., Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore port, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai, Thiruvarur and Nagappattinam station in both directions.

This train comprises of First AC, AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.

The booking for Train No. 09041 will open from 28th July, 2023 at all PRS Counters and on IRCTC website. The above trains will run as special train on special fare. For detailed information regarding timings of halts and composition, passengers may please visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in.

SOUTHERN RAILWAY TO RUN SPECIAL TRAIN FOR VELANKANNI FESTIVAL FROM ERNAKULAM

Train No. 06035 / 06036 Ernakulam – Velankanni Jn – Ernakulam (Weekly)

The Service of Train No. 06035 Ernakulam – Velankanni Jn Weekly Special Fare Special will leave Ernakulam Jn on Saturdays at 13.10 hrs on 12th, 19th, 26th August, 02nd, 09th, 16th, 23rd September, 2023 and reach Velankanni at 05.40 hrs, the next day (7 Services)

The Service of Train No. 06036 Velankanni – Ernakulam Jn Weekly Special Fare Special will leave Velankanni Jn on Sundays at 18.40 hrs on 13th, 20th, 27th August, 03rd, 10th, 17th, 24th September, 2023 and reach Ernakulam Jn at 11.40 hrs, the next day (7 Services)

Advance Reservation for the above Special Trains will open at 08.00 hrs on 21st July, 2023.
